Scripps National Spelling Bee Finals

Today, the final round of the Scripps National Spelling Bee have begun in Oxon Hill, Md.The competition began with 291 spellers including the youngest speller in its history, 6-year-old Edith Fuller.However, only forty people made it to this round.
A trophy and more than $40,000 cash and prizes are up for grabs this time.
A tie-breaker test was added this year to produce a single winner for the first time in three consecutive years. About 10 spellers from this round will compete at the primetime finale.
